ll of us at mobileFOUNDATIONS
are honored that the
Spacecraft Emergency
Response System (SERS)
product has enabled
NASA to be named as one of the
ComputerworldROI
25 Wireless Innovators.
ComputerworldROI
is a bimonthly supplement to IDG’s
Computerworld.
mobileFOUNDATIONS
has worked hand-in-hand with our
NASA end-users to revolutionize space mission
operations.
SERS is a
mission critical wireless application to
which NASA entrusts the monitoring and
management of hundreds of millions of
dollars worth of satellites. With SERS, NASA no longer needs 7x24 staffing of
unmanned satellite control centers. SERS monitors those satellites, ground
control systems, and networks. If
SERS detects an anomalous condition, it
dynamically builds a response team,
notifying the team via a wide array of
wireless devices. The response team
members can then view the critical
information from of their wireless devices
and send commands back to SERS.
SERS-enabled missions, help save NASA
millions of dollars every year. The
US Air Force is now evaluating the use of
SERS to enhance its mission operations
capabilities.
“The
Wireless 25 represent the best and the
brightest, not to mention the boldest of
business and technology strategists,”
said Julia King, executive editor of
ComputerworldROI. “They're applying
still-emerging and fast-changing
technologies to solve critical business
issues plus establish themselves as long
term leaders in their industries. These
are the companies that already have their
competitors playing catch up and will
keep them on the run well into the
increasingly wireless future.”
“Members
of the Wireless 25 are true game
changers,” said Julia King, executive
editor of ComputerworldROI. “Their bold
and inventive applications of
fast-changing wireless technologies have
enabled them to break away from the pack
and establish themselves as innovators
not only in their own industries, but
across the competitive business
landscape.”
